Liquid Blue's FAQ's

At Liquid Blue Divers, we understand that many of you could be diving in Cozumel (or with us) for the first time and there must be dozens of questions you have. It is very important to us that you have the best trip you can have we promise to work hard to make sure that happens!

We love to hear from you at Liquid Blue Divers and we do our best to answer your e-mails and phone calls as quickly as we can. As we've been here in Cozumel for quite some time now, we've put together a list of the most frequently asked questions our guests seem to have. Of course if you don't see the one you're looking for, please contact us, but we're pretty sure this list will give most people the information they are looking for!

Q1: What days do you schedule night dives?
A1: Night dives are available any night as long as there is a minimum of four divers.
Q2: Who designed and who hosts your website?
A2: Our website was created by Bob Cohen owner of the design firm RAC Interactive. It is hosted by Onsite hosting (see both links at the bottom of the page). Bob, along with our dear friend Bill from Onsite Hosting work together to update and add all the new features you see on our site.
Q3: Where is Liquid Blue Divers' shop located?
A3: LBD is located on Avenida 5 between Calle 3 and Rosado Salas…across the street from the fabulous ‘French Quarter’ restaurant.
Q4: What are the shop hours?
A4: Shop hours are nightly from 6:30pm-8:00pm. To reach someone prior to these hours while on the island, just dial 869-7794 at anytime.
Q5: Why is the shop not open all day?
A5: All reservations are booked in advance with Liquid Blue via the internet therefore there is no need to have a store front open all day.
Q6: Do you offer multi-day discounts on diving and hotel packages?
A6: No, the current dive rates can be found on our pricing page.
Q7: Where do you stop for the surface interval and for how long?
A7: The surface interval is scheduled daily at Playa Palancar, a full service beach club, where you will be able to get off the boat and relax. If you're hungry, the food is great and the prices are very reasonable. The surface interval is approximately 1.5 hrs. from exit to entrance between dives.
Q8: What time do your boats leave and from where?
A8: Our boats depart the marina (Coletta) at 7:30 a.m. and pick up at various hotels. For those who are staying at a hotel where we cannot pick up, you will have to find transportation to the marina, and be ready to leave by 7:30 a.m.
Q9: What hotels and times, do you pick–up at?
A9: We go as far north as El Cantil Condos to pick up guests. Pick up times vary and we'll let you when you check in. Please keep in mind that you must be a guest of these properties in order to be picked up there daily.
Q10: Will you handle our dive equipment?
A10: Yes, each diver will have their own gear bag with name tags. At the end of each day, the equipment will be brought back to the shop for washing, and rinsing. You will find it set up the following day on the boat. Due to similarity of wetsuits and skins, we cannot keep track of them. Therefore, you must take them off the boat each day.
Q11: Who selects the dive site daily?
A11: The dive site is selected by the group diving that particular day. However, the dive master and boat captain have the final say should the conditions not be safe, or if one in the group does not have the skill level required for a dive.
Q12: Do you offer Nitrox?
A12: Yes, nitrox 36% is available on the second dive. Nitrox is not available on the first dive because it's generally a deep dive.
Q13: Why aren't there more FAQ's here?
A13: Hey! Be patient! We're working as fast as we can to give you the answers you need so check back frequently and we'll be ready for you soon!
